This artwork served as a card that I gave to my girlfriend Whitney for Halloween 2008. The drawing features Whitney and I in a graveyard surrounded by the classic Universal Monsters, from left: the Mummy, Frankenstein's Monster, Count Dracula, the Wolfman, the Bride of Frankenstein, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
The illustration began as a hand-drawn sketch that was then scanned and vectorized in Adobe Illustrator. Shadows and highlights were added in Adobe Photoshop CS3 using a Wacom tablet, while paying particular attention to the light sources in the picture (the moon and the flashlight).
