This artwork served as a desktop wallpaper that I gave to my girlfriend Whitney for Halloween 2007. The illustration began as a hand-drawn sketch that was then scanned and vectorized in Adobe Illustrator. Shadows and highlights were added with the airbrush tool in Adobe Photoshop, while paying particular attention to the light sources in the picture (the ghost, the pumpkins, and the wall candles). Photoshop filters were used only twice in the entire image: to create the flames of the candles and the mist emanating from the ghost.
