Northern Lehigh High School Launches New Website

As the 2008-2009 school year began at Northern Lehigh High School, the students, faculty, and parents found that the school's website was given a massive facelift, courtesy of Kernie Cam Productions. Designed to match last year's revamp of the Northern Lehigh Middle School website, the site features a colorful header atop a "notebook" layout, complete with spiral binding, post-it notes, color photo collages, and highlighter-style link rollovers. Some of the main features of this new site are detailed course descriptions, athletic schedules, adminstration info, and an extensive library of downloadable forms and documents, all of which are available in Adobe PDF format.

The new site involved the input of various faculty, staff, and administrators to provide an informative and intuitive browsing experience. Most influential in the site's creation were high school principal Aileen Yadush, who worked closely with Kernie Cam to determine the most important and beneficial information to post on the new site, and student volunteer Michael Showak, who assisted with programming and content population. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to both of these valuable contributors, as well as the many members of the faculty and staff who supplied additional content and materials.

In the weeks since its launch, Kernie Cam is proud to have heard such a favorable response to the new site, with compliments coming in from parents, school board members, neighboring school districts, and other local community members. Many have praised the sites's user-friendly navigation and wealth of information, while others have applauded its style and appealing graphic interface.

Kernie Cam's personal goal was to remind students, parents, and community that, despite its small population and occassionally limited funding, great things are happening (and have been happening) in the Northern Lehigh School District. Our hope is that the new website will help to foster greater pride in our schools and give Northern Lehigh High School an impressive presence on the world wide web.
